ABU DHABI – The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast partly cloudy to cloudy conditions across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today, with a chance of rainfall in scattered areas.

The weather authority also expects a noticeable drop in temperatures, signalling a cooler spell across parts of the country.

Residents may experience changing conditions through the day as cloud cover increases.

Rain outlook

According to the NCM, scattered rainfall is likely to affect various regions, although the intensity and coverage may vary. The partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected to dominate at times, particularly over northern and eastern areas.

Forecasters indicated that temperatures will dip compared with recent days, bringing relatively cooler weather to many parts of the UAE. The shift comes as seasonal conditions continue to fluctuate across the country.

Wind conditions

Winds are expected to be light to moderate, becoming fresh at times, especially over the sea. The NCM warned that stronger gusts could lead to blowing dust and sand in exposed areas, potentially reducing horizontal visibility.

Wind speeds will range between 10 and 25 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h. The direction will be southeasterly to northwesterly during the day.

Sea state

The Arabian Gulf is forecast to be rough, prompting caution for marine activities. Tide timings in the Gulf are expected as follows: the first high tide at 13:42 and the second at 02:50, while low tides are predicted at 20:15 and 08:10.

In the Oman Sea, conditions will be slight to moderate. The first high tide is expected at 10:26 and the second at 22:48, while low tides are forecast at 16:30 and 05:06.
